Yo IGT whats good? First of all, thank you for taking some time for this interview! Can you introduce yourself to those who don't know you?
-Thanks for reachin out for the interview. Individually we are Lagato Shine, Dough Da Nomad, Klee Klepto, and Belly Valentine..collectively known as IGT.
How would you describe your style?
-Our style is street and lyrically driven, underground but versatile enough to capture the ear of the most mainstream listener. It's not just one style, we cater to the track.
When will you release your new album?
-Late '06..early '07
Who will produce it? And which guests take a part?
-This album is a sampless album and we stayed with local and in-house producers on this one, with the exception of Red Spyda who produced a track on the album. The only feature is an artist from our team Ace Hardware.
What does become this one distinguished between your old albs for as "alpha+omega" and " Eat to live "?
-Beats..no samples. Otherwise, it's just more classic joints.
Will you in the near future drop a new mixtape?
-Yea in early '07 after this album is done. L-Shine is currently workin on his solo project.
Your new plate "The 4 Fathers " is very different from your older works ! I have noticed this particularly at "Mom said!" The beat has very strong Rock for influences! Was this chance or did you want to try out something new?
-We tried somethin new, just bein creative..and it worked.
With which would you like to cooperate? Producer, rapper or singer?
-No one in particular, whoever is hot and definately someone who we respect as an artist.
Soon, will solo albs or Mixtape also appear?
-Yea both will solo and mixtapes will keep appearing. We're lookin to flood the market wit new material.
If you look back so at the past, what has changed to today?
-More oppurtunities for artists to make money wit the introduction of new technology, internet and those type things. On the downside, the game is flooded and real music is not appreciated as much as something that could make a quick sale (gimmick).
What are your goals for this year?
-First and foremost to cater to our core fans. Secondly to release an album on a higher scale. And to get the proper respect the for what we've done and the work we've put in over the years.
